Description
Start your daily grind with a truly unique craft coffee. The utmost care was taken in sourcing AA Ethiopian beans from South African micro lot farms. The beans were dehydrated naturally in the sun rather than being processed mechanically. Prior to roasting we hand picked freshly emptied Pinot Noir barrels from a small winery in the North East for aging. Volume was carefully chosen to balance the surface area of the beans with the inside of the barrel. The coffee was sampled and micro roasted on a weekly basis to ensure the notes of oak and wine were enhancing the beans without over powering the natural and desirable notes of the quality product we sourced to begin with. Finally after excavating the beans from the oak cask, we looked to a seasoned local roaster who performed a full city roast (lighter end of a dark roast) to finish the job. Tasting Notes: FLAVOR: Grape, milk chocolate, toasted oak, delicate red wine on the finish BODY: Heavy with tannic finish ACIDITY: Jammy Roast: City
