- Ferulic acid helps to stabilize vitamins. When vitamins are exposed to light and air, they break down; ferulic acid prevents them from degrading and losing efficacy. Ferulic acid is especially helpful in serums containing vitamin C and E, which are highly instable and lose their skin benefits quickly in serums and creams.

When used in a serum, ferulic acid stabilizes vitamin C - preventing it from oxidizing and degrading. Ferulic acid powder is generally used in a 1% solution and dissolved in an alcohol base to prevent clouding before use.

Bos essentials Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, and Ferulic Acid Serum Instructions
In 4 tablespoons of water, add:
Between and 2 tablespoons Bos Essentials Vitamin C Powder (for a 5-20% Vitamin C solution see instructions on vitamin C product page)
A few drops of Bos Essentials Ferulic Acid Powder dissolved in an alcohol base (helps to stabilize vitamin C and adds additional antioxidant properties)
teaspoon Bos Essentials Hyaluronic Acid Powder (add only when the rest of the ingredients are fully dissolved)
Refrigerate until gelled, spot test for sensitivity, and apply daily prior to the rest of your beauty routine.
