Nothing is added and nothing is subtracted from this steam distilled essential oil. It comes straight from a distillery in north east Texas using locally sourced trees. When this oil is exposed to air, it emanates the spicy light fragrance uniquely evocative of nature that everyone loves about cedar oil. Straight from the container, the darker scents of Juniperus Virginiana wood alcohols will predominate. Using this oil in a diffuser produces a sweeter aroma containing both the spicy tones from air-exposed oil and the darker tones found directly from the container. This essential oil can restore cedarwood products (including chests and closets), freshen the air with an invigorating scent, and add an amazing cedar fragrance to aromatic products such as candles, soaps, and fragrances. To ensure the fullest range of aromas, the cedar wood used in the production of this oil is ground just prior to oil extraction so nothing is lost due to overly exposed wood. This long lasting cedar oil is unspoiled by oxidation or other reactions because stainless steel is extensively used during and after oil production. Steam is condensed, and oil is separated, with only stainless steel contact. Finally, oil is gathered in stainless steel containers before being canned or bottled for shipment. In small quantities, this oil is a pleasing light golden brown color. In large quantities, it will appear a beautiful wine red.
